reason 4 being
I could sit here + bore you with the ins + outs of how I became so passionate about launching this range, the triumphs, hurdles + successes that I experienced along the way… but I could write a whole book. + the reason 4 save our skin’s existence is really simple. less = more.
this is however, where I pay credit to the skin crusaders that went b4 me.
you see, I did not invent save our skin.
+ I did not employ scientists in hi-tech, clean white labs to do it either.
my skin crusading efforts lead me to knowledge. knowledge that has been around for centuries. just somewhere along the line this knowledge got buried… + deep. i’ve simply resurrected it because I had to.
I had a dream one night in September 2004 + in this dream I saw 3 products based on the restorative qualities of xtra virgin olive oil. the message in that dream was so clear + strong, that I later drew a rough sketch of each product in my notebook + this is how save our skin was conceived. I had no idea of how I was now going to bring it to life. I just knew that I had to do it.
that dream has kept me awake every night since, (that + Alexander-Jai the little angel in our lives). he has extremely sensitive skin, just like me + and I don’t feel comfortable using anything other than save our skin products on him. why? because save our skin’s entire range contains only 5 organic ingredients. think about it…, the more sources of irritation you can eliminate, the better off your skin will be. hence, less = more.
save our skin’s wash bar is honestly the mildest soap on earth + is derived from a 15th century formulation used across Spain. the protective balm is a powerful concoction developed by Galen, doctor to the gladiators of the 2nd century.
the nourishment oil has xtra virgin olive oil as it’s base, which has been used since biblical times as a magical beauty multi-tasker. (I’ve simply added calendula flowers + mandarin to the mix 4 enriched healing qualities + natural aroma).
so to Galen + his fellow skin crusaders – cheers, you were really on to something. + I feel so blessed to have discovered your work + to bring these magical ancient skin saving formulas back 2 life. njoy.
